Eminem

The next artist that I am going to talk about has been dominating the Rap industry for many years now. Marshall Bruce Mathers III was born October 17, 1972 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Marshall Mather better known by his stage name of Eminem grew up in a rough childhood. Eminems father abonded him and his mother when he was an infant. Eminems mother could never keep a job for more than several months at a time so they would move different places.  As a result of constantly moving Eminem had to change school 2 to 3 times a year. Eminem had no friends and often kept to himself.  However, he finally found someone that he could talk to and that was his uncle. His uncle introduced him to rap music. However as their friendship grew he had to move to Michigan. Marshall was constantly Bullied which lead to him being in a coma for 5 days. Marshall had to stay out of school for a year which eventually lead Eminem back to music. While living in Detroit Eminem found a new friend Proof a fellow rapper.  Proof took Eminem to talent shows which lead to Eminem’s career. Eminem went to underground contest which took off. Eminem relationship with his mother grew worse but Eminem meet his future wife Kim. Kim was there for him while his mother wasn’t. Eminem music career and story has become very popular throughout the years. Eminem has been in countless groups and had to fight for his music career.  Some popular songs are When I’m gone, Mockingbird, Not Afraid, Space Bound and Lighters. After reading about Eminem’s life story and struggles it gave me inspiration in everything I do. Meek Mill

For my next blog I am going to talk about an artist who just became big and his music has had a huge impact on his fans. Each day more and more people listen to him and watch his music progress.  Robert Williams was born on May 6^th, 1987 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Meek mill was forced to grow up with his sister as his mother and Father died when Robert was just 5 years old. This death gave him inspiration in life. He began to take the music industry serious when he was 12 years old after losing a rap battle to a couple kids. He said another reason he was disered to rap was after watching his uncle Philly hip-hop pioneer Grandmaster Nell. Meek mill first major move is when he and 3 other guys formed a group called bloodhoundz.  The group lasted 5 years before Meek Mill moved on.  Meek Mill became an underground hit with his mix tape Flamerz series in 2007. From then on Meek Mill has been creating new music and has become more and more popular. Meek Mill recently just signed with Rick Ross’s  Maybach Music group. Some songs that have Meek produced are Imma Boss, Moment 4 Life, Burn, flexing, Ready or Not, and Racked Up Shawty . Some different mix tapes he produced are Dreamchasers, Dreamchasers 2, Mr. Philadelphia, and Flamers 2. Meek Mill recently just came to Buffalo,NY on June 8^th. He came to Darien Lake theme park along with Drake, Waka Flocka Flame, and J- Cole. For what I heard from the people that attended the concert they said Meek Mill put on a great show and they really enjoyed it.  I look forward to seeing Meek Mill produce more music in the future. Drake

For my next blog, continuing on with the music theme I am going to talk about another famous rapper. This rapper has won numerous awards and has been dominating the rap game for a while now. Aubrey Drake Graham better known as drake was born on October 24, 1986 in Toronto, Canada. He grew up to a very musical family as his father was drummer for legendary rock star Jerry Lee Lewis and his mom also comes from a very musical family. Drake’s entertainment career began in 2001 when a fellow classmate’s father who was an agent landed him a role on Degrassi: The Next Generation. Drake came out with his first mix tape in 2006 which was called Room For improvement.  From here his musical career took off in a bang. Drake has been coming out with songs and mix tapes that have been dominating the industry. Some songs are Take Care, Headlines, Over, Underground Kings, and Practice. Some mix tapes that drake came out with are so Far Gone, Room for Improvement, and Comeback Season. Some different awards Drake has won are Rookie of the Year, Best track of the Year, Best Male hip hop Artist, Mvp of the Year, and Top Rap song.  Aubrey Graham goes by the stage name of drake but he has some other nicknames including Drizzy, Drizzy Drake, Drake Rogers, and Boy Wonder. Drake has recently just came to Buffalo, NY on June 8^th at Darien Lake theme Park. Drake came along with Meek Mill, J cole, and Waka Flocka Flame. Talking to the people that attended the concert they said it was a really good concert and everyone had a lot of fun.  Drake has currently been dominating the radio more than ever and has no sign of slowing down. Lil Wayne

For my next blog I am going to continue with famous artists that are dominating the game right now. There is one rapper in particular that has been dominating the rap industry for some time now. He goes by the rap name Lil Wayne.  Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr was born on September 27, 1982 in New Orleans, LA.  He was born in the town of HollyGrove.  In school he was a straight A student. He never felt himself expressed in reports but found his way of expressing himself through song.  Lil Wayne was signed by music label Cash Money at just the age of 11.  Lil Wayne has many nicknames including Wezzy, Tunechi, and Young Carter. Lil Wayne has won countless awards at different music award ceremonies including, Best Artist of the year, Best Song, Best Mix tape, Top Male artist, Voice of the Year, Etc. Lil Wayne won many awards at the BET hip hop awards, Grammy awards, and Sucker Free Summit awards.  Lil Wayne came out with many tracks that became instant hits and took over the radios. Some songs are President Carter, Megaman, She Will, and Right above it. Some different mix tapes that dominated the charts are Sorry for the wait, No ceilings, and the Dedication 2. Some different albums are The Carter I, Carter II, Carter III, and the Carter IV. Lil Wayne is currently on tour and he came to buffalo last summer. One of his stops on his tour was at Darien Lake theme Park. He came with various artist including Far east Movement, Rick Ross, and Birdman. I attended the concert and I really enjoyed it. Wiz Khalifa

For my upcoming blogs I am going to write about something that means a lot to me. Music is an escape for me whenever I am upset I always listen to music. For these upcoming blogs I am going to write about famous music stars that have been dominating the music industry for some time now. To start off, I am going to write about rapper Wiz Khalifa. Cameron Jibril Thomaz also known as Wiz Khalifa was born on September 8^th 1987 in Minot, North Dakota and was based in Pittsburg.  Cameron Thomaz was raised from military parents causing the family to move on a regular basis.  Wiz Khalifa was became famous after his song Black and yellow. After the public heard of this song more and more people started listening to his music. Some famous songs that Wiz produced and recorded are This Plane, when I’m gone; Wake up, No Sleep, and Black and Yellow. Whenever wiz goes on tour he always bring his crew better known as Taylor Gang. Wiz’s is constantly found on tour with Chevy woods and Juicy J.  Wiz Khalifa just came out with a famous mix tape that millions of people listened to called Taylor Allderdice. Some other famous mix tapes Wiz came out with is Cabin Fever and Flight school.  Wiz Khalifa is currently on tour and he was recently in the New York and Buffalo area. Wiz came to Cortland, NY on April 28^th. He played on college campus and it turned out to be a great show. I attended this show and I have nothing but good things to say about this concert. I had a lot of fun and it was amazing to see Wiz life in concert. Wiz Khalifa has been one of my favorite rappers and I look forward to see him in the future.
